The bus analogy was interesting too. At a ‘megachurch’ I attended the frame of reference was the front door or the back door, i.e the concern or attention of the church leadership was focused on the front door, those new people coming in. There was little to know attention on the back door, those leaving the church. The net was the main focus. The sad truth was the loss of devoted believers with long term devotion to the church, people who (in my opinion) were the true core of the Church (capitalization emphasized).

Everyone finds a new home and/or a new path in the end.
